What is compliance training? (Benelux)

Short answer
Compliance training is instruction employees must receive because a law, a certification scheme or a client contract requires it. In Benelux frontline operations six frameworks do most of the work: the Belgian Codex, the Dutch Arbowet, VCA, Regulation 852/2004, BRCGS and IFS. Only VCA fixes hard numbers; the rest leave the refresher interval to you.
The frameworks that actually apply here
The generic list (GDPR, anti-harassment, anti-money laundering) describes a different market. On a Benelux floor, six frameworks do most of the work, and only three of them are law.

Who sets the interval
The Codex and Arbowet training duties, Regulation 852/2004, BRCGS and IFS fix no refresher interval: you set one, write it down and are audited against it. VCA adds hard numbers, at least 4 toolbox meetings a year for VCA* and 10 for VCA** and VCA-P (question 4.1) and personal diplomas valid for ten years; the guide on how often training must be repeated lists these and the few other fixed intervals.
